Earnifi Services Overview by Category

The app provides four core services, each with its own state-availability footprint:

  1. Earnifi Early Pay (Earned Wage Access) — the most restricted; unavailable in 14 states.
  2. Earnifi Rent Splitting — requires a rent-based credit line; available in approximately 30 states.
  3. Earnifi Visa® SpendCard — available nationwide to all Earnifi users.
  4. Earnifi Credit Building — available wherever Rent Splitting is active; reports to all three bureaus.

States Where Earnifi Early Pay Is NOT Available

Due to state-level earned wage access and lending regulations, Earnifi's Early Pay (pay advance) feature is not available in the following 14 states and jurisdictions:

If you live in one of these states, you cannot use Earnifi's earned wage advance. However, you may still be eligible for Rent Splitting, the Visa SpendCard, and Credit Building depending on your state's availability for those features.

Earnifi Rent Splitting & Credit Building Availability

Rent Splitting operates through a short-term credit line, which requires additional state licensing. It is currently available in approximately 30 states. The credit-building feature is tied to Rent Splitting — if you can use Rent Splitting in your state, you can also enroll in credit building.

Exact state lists are subject to change as Earnifi expands its licensing. The Earnifi app will confirm your eligibility during sign-up based on your verified address.

Earnifi Visa® SpendCard: Nationwide

The Earnifi Visa® SpendCard is available to all Earnifi users regardless of state. Because it is a prepaid Visa debit card — not a credit product or loan — it is not subject to the same state-by-state lending regulations that restrict Early Pay and Rent Splitting.

What If Earnifi Early Pay Is Not Available in My State?

If you live in a restricted state, you still have options within the Earnifi ecosystem:

  • Use Rent Splitting — If available in your state, this helps manage cash flow around rent due dates.
  • Build Credit — Enroll in Credit Building to have rent payments reported to all three bureaus.
  • Use the Visa SpendCard — Available everywhere; manage everyday spending with no fees.
  • Check back periodically — Earnifi continues to expand state availability as it obtains new licenses.

Why Does State Availability Vary?

Earned wage access and short-term credit products are regulated differently across states. Some states classify wage advances as loans requiring specific lending licenses, while others have enacted earned wage access legislation that creates a separate regulatory framework. Earnifi complies with all applicable state laws, which means some features are unavailable where licensing has not yet been obtained or where regulations prohibit the service model.
